Worldwise Education began as a desire to help teachers. If you know a teacher, you know they are committed and have a special gift. Their job is giving, and they struggle against the odds. They are some of the most important people we will ever meet.
We wanted to help and found a way. This is what we did (or more correctly “are doing”).
How to change the world in 10 easy steps
- Find a dream, a cause that matters, something to believe in that is bigger than you
- Get involved, figure out a way to help, make it real. Act on it. Take a first step
- Listen. Don't talk.
- Make it about other people. Do what your heart tells you is the right thing to do. Listen to yourself
- Engage others who ‘get it.' You'll meet incredible people along the way who share your conviction
- Don't try to own the idea. Let it develop into its own. It takes more than one and others want to help. Let them. Give credit where credit is due and share the glory
- Think about ways to create a system or process so whatever you're doing will last beyond your ‘doing it.'
- Surround yourself with people who can help (they'll begin to appear—trust that)
- Don't give up. There will be times when everything seems impossible. It's not. Stay in the game.
- Treat yourself when you can. You'll need to stay refreshed and enthused.
